Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) 1 Day – RQF Level 3 Award

At Lionhart FM Centre, we deliver a range of Emergency First Aid at Work Courses in our branches You can complete these courses on an individual or group basis.

Who is this course suitable for?

This is the most common workplace first aid course in the country, which covers all the major life-threatening scenarios. Low-risk industries should enrol where you are responsible for less than 100 people. Here are a few examples:

What will I Learn: Emergency First Aid at Work Course Content

Once enrolled on Emergency first at work qualification, you will be learning how to manage an unconscious casualty, non-breathing, bleeding, ill or injured casualty, before the arrival of the emergency services. This course will cover the following:

  • Responsibilities of the First Aider
  • How to check for breathing
  • assessing and monitoring a casualty
  • where to get help in emergency First aid situations
  • accident recording and reporting procedures
  • Recovery position
  • Resuscitation of a non-breathing casualty (CPR)
  • Choking
  • Major bleeding and Shock management
  • Minor injuries & burns
  • Seizures
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

How long is the Emergency First Aid at Work Course?

The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course is delivered in one day. You will be completing 6 to 7-hour training in a classroom-based environment. The course normally starts at 9AM and finishes at 5PM.

How can I complete this course at Lionhart FM Centre?

At Lionhart FM Centre, this course is delivered by our qualified and experienced tutors. We deliver this course to meet an individual’s needs. The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at work is completed by classroom-based learning in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Entry Requirements:

There is no formal requirement for this course as long as the candidate has basic functional skills (Numeracy, Literacy and ICT). You will also have to provide us with your Photo Identification such as Passport or Full UK driving Licence and Proof of Address of the last 3 months to join online or classroom-based teacher training. To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate and we limit group size to 12 people.

Assessment:

There is no formal examination for this course. However, each learner is assessed throughout the course using a range of practical demonstrations, question and answers. Learners are required to demonstrate the ability to identify, recognize and treat casualties with the use of their knowledge taught in this course.

What certificate am I going to receive?

Once you complete the qualification successfully, you will be awarded a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate which is valid for 3 years.
